Description
Initially created in 1998, the Flying Cups, aka Hoch die Tassen, feature various discarded yet precious second-hand porcelain cups which are elevated, reclaimed, and repurposed. Each design consists of a vintage teacup with a wine stem affixed to the bottom, creating beautiful teacup stemware. ‘Hoch die Tassen’, which means ‘Let’s raise our cups’, introduces an informal yet sophisticated method of elegant drinking. Sharing a smart and ironic style, the Hoch die Tassen or Flying Cups represent a new era of creation in which products are original and exclusive, even when made out of second-hand elements.
