News just in! We have just been told by our team at NAMM 2016 that Yamaha have launched their brand new Yamaha drum kit and my goodness it’s just lovely! 

We were so excited about the new Yamaha 9000 drums that we ordered them straight from sunny LA, and they’ve just landed at drumshop!

The new for 2016 Yamaha 9000 series has been designed along side well-known drummer, Steve Gadd. Over the last three years, Steve has had regular meetings with Yamaha’s research and development team to bring the legendary Recording Custom drums back to life for the modern drummer. The 6-Ply All North American Birch drum shells deliver a focused sound with enhanced rounded and deeper tone. This Birch drum kit features 30 Degree Bearing Edges as well as newly designed high tension lugs which are cleverly weighted to enhance lower frequencies. The new Yamaha 9000 Recording Custom drum kit allows you to tune your drums easily and despite it’s name, the Recording Custom drums are also perfect for live situations as well as studio sessions. An all-round versatile drum kit that works well in all musical styles and situations! It simply couldn’t get any better!
